Hi, I’m Rhonda, founder of the Parent Leader Playbook. 

I’ve spent more than 20 years helping organizations lead more effectively — simplifying complex work, strengthening leadership, and turning big ideas into practical action. 

But some of the most meaningful leadership work I’ve done has been in school communities — working alongside parents, volunteers, teachers, and administrators to support students and families. 

And I didn’t start as an expert.  I started as a parent trying to figure it out.

When I became president of my school’s parent organization, I quickly realized something important: There was no shortage of ideas.  No shortage of expectations.  But very little guidance on how to actually make it all work. 

So I built my way through it.

Using my background in project and talent management, I created structure, systems, and a more intentional approach to the work. And things changed. 

Our school earned National PTA School of Excellence recognition.
Engagement increased.
More families got involved.
And the work became shared, sustainable, and purposeful.

That experience shaped everything that followed.
